I have a new boyfriend! I'm now with Chris. I've known Chris since I was 13 and he was 14. We met at church. We've liked each other on and off since then. Now I'm 17 and he's 18.
Sometime after James and I broke up, I've started to like Chris again. I've kept it a secret for awhile, the only person that knew was Mike and Orlando. Then turns out he left then came back to visit.
Well recently, I asked Chris to be with me and he said yes. I understand he'll be away in the Navy and going to Japan. But I like him soooooooo much! There is no way that I'm letting him go. I've liked him on and off for almost 5 years. This is a long time. I figure that a long distance relationship will make things easier for me in my education. I can study easier now...I hope.
The past two days with him were just awesome! When I finally told him how I felt, we started to hold hands and we cuddle,watched The Ring(pretend i was scared *squel*), and we kissed. I feel soooo...happy, but a bit odd cause I've known this guy for a long time. I use to consider him as a brother! That's how close we are. He then decided to do everything the modest,proper way of going out,the "traditional" way. He was gonna ask my parents!
Sunday-
At church, things were just a bit weird. I gave him my senior pix. He sat my parents down, then ask them the big question. "Mr. and Mrs.Mejica I would like to know if I can date Frances." My mom looks around. "Date? But I just gave her money yesterday!!!" Chris:"No, I mean I want her as my girlfriend." Mom:"Ohhhhhh...boyfriend and girlfriend." Then I got his mom's permission and she seemed happy. I never had to do this. I was so scared. Then our parents went crazy talking about marriage and how both of our families are military families. My mom and Chris's mom waited for my dad and Chris's dad. They wrote to each other and were giving me advice on how I can survive. LOL...but it's all good and gravy. We went to the mall,and 5 points. We just had a great time. When he took me home,he open the door for me. He was just a total gentleman. He walked me to my door and looked me in the eyes. Chris:"Do you remember when I got something fixed at the mall? Me:"Yeah." Chris:"Well I want you to have it." Then he slips on a ring on my finger. Chris:" This use to be my mom's family heirloom. It's from a collection and I want you to have it to remember me by. And if you find someone else...GIVE IT BACK!!!" Me:"I don't think I'll find someone to give it back to you." I gave him the biggest kiss on the lips,then I just kept kissing his lips and neck, then I asked him,"Why won't you french me?" Chris:"YOU'RE RUSHING INTO THINGS! WHAT DO YOU THINK THE NEXT STEP IS? SEX?!?!" It freaked me out. LOL! I'm going at a steady pace with him. I like him a lot and I'm willing to put up with long distance and kick temptation in the grind!
Later I called him, and he surprise me! He's buying me a No Doubt ticket! I've loved No doubt for about 7 years. They are one of my faves. Just not their new stuff,but who cares! I'm happy! And I'm not going to Poison the Well anymore. I know I really wanna go, but I wanna spend every opportunity I have to be with my boyfriend since he's leaving Oct.31st. I know I'm gonna cry, but I wouldn't give him up to the world. I've realize how much I like and care about him. I guess it just developed over the years. I'm so happy! Our differences don't matter. So fuck stereotypes!

He's in the navy and I don't care too much for the navy
He dresses "preppy/sporty" and I'm "Grunge/baggy"
We have our differences,but our similaritesare rather good. We get along perfectly. 'Cept when it comes to the radio. LOL...I hate rap and he hates rock music. But reguardless...I want to be with him and work things out. I think I'm falling for him.
